Our Pet --- Katay

We were blessed with friends, so sometimes they will bless us with things or anything to make us joyful. Last month, another friend came and gave us a rabbit. Some friends told us that this kind of rabbit is quite expensive. Rabbit in Thailand is known as KATAY. We loved it. They usually eat vegetables of any kind.

We thank God for friends anywhere. They always bless us and they really care. How about you? I'm sure you have a lot of friends too. They are treasures, so we need to pray for them too.

Our Journey back to the Phil.

Last year we went back to the Phil. to visit our family and friends. It was a good time for us to travel as a family although our 6-year old son was quite anxious of what will happen to us. He was only 2 years old when we left our family and friends. He didn't know exactly our hometown. He was crying a lot for the first few months but was able to recover a few months after.

We had been going to different places and met different people and friends too. So he was already quite adjusted to his environment. But there is one thing that I enjoyed most. I was given chance to train a choir from different churches all throughout the south of Negros. I really gave time to it, though it's not so easy but my heart was in so I find it interesting and a great experience for me. I had trained 80- voice choir who sang in the 50th thanksgiving and anniversary of a Bible School in that area. I was glad that I had been a part of that celebration.

Of course, after the celebration there was some stomach development, lol! for all of us. and gift giving for everyone who joined and attended the said activity. But for all those things that happened I would like to say:
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
for all the things that HE has done!

Short URL

Since I started blogging, I wonder why a lot of my friends have short url and it seems that it is being personalized. I mean they have their own domain. And it's quite interesting on my part as a newbie. I was thinking of having the same site. Anyhow, I still need to work for it in order to earn and pay for my own domain.

But there is one that I like when I checked some url sites. I'm not sure if you have heard about short url. I was attracted to the name itself. They can provide shorter, better and easier to remember names for your site or blog. And besides they have available domains for your choice. You can get a short, professional looking and easy to remember for your own benefit. I better check this one will ask my hubby to agree.

The Houses near the Border

My friend shared to me this picture when we met last month. They were living near the border of Thailand and Mayanmar. When I saw this picture last time I recalled one tribe in the Phil. And felt bad about their situation. It's not so easy to stay in this kind of surroundings but they were able to survive.
Can you imagine living here? But sad to say, there are people who are wasting their wealth to nothing but there are also people who are suffering and died without a better world. I mean, looking at the picture, what can you say?

My 6-year old son

Aj, my 6-year old is very sweet. He likes to play, talk, and do a lot of things. It seems that he is not tired of it. Even when we sit or lie down he would talk a lot. During night time, he won't sleep without me - but before sleeping, after our family devotion he would ask me to tell a story. Then I made stories anything under the sun. Stories that made him laugh and think. Sometimes, he would ask for more stories, but I would tell him, to be continued tomorrow because I will still think of the next episode, lol!

My Friends' Place

We met some friends ( our Kababayan ) in Bangkok last month and one of them shared some pictures where they used to travel. Thanks to my friend for sharing this pictures.
They are also living in Thailand now.

The Huge City - Bangkok

What can you say? This is Bangkok, we went there twice. In March 2007, when I celebrated my birthday, we were invited to attend a wedding. One of our friends got married on the same day when I celebrated my birthday. That was the first time that we visited Bangkok, Thailand.
We went for the second time last month to attend a retreat and renew our passports. We had been to different places with another friend and had gone so far, tired and feeling so hot everytime we went out of the house were staying. Maybe because it's summer time and so hot in that place. We were relieved when we went back to town.
However, we had not been to many places because we don't have enough to travel. When we plan to go to another place, we need to spend for the whole day of travel and looking at the place. So, we were not able to visit many places like Pratunnam and other places that sell cheaper things. Maybe next time, again, if we have another chance to go.

My Teenager's 14th Birthday

Birthdays are celebrated anywhere, anytime with anybody around the globe. It's a day to behold for every celebrators/ celebrants.

Speaking of birthdays, last Saturday was my teenager's 14th birthday. His younger brother AJ, asked him a day before, of what is he going to do on his birthday. But the kuya said, "no, nothing, I just wanna eat pizza." And AJ was insisting and asked, "How about your friends?" And continued to say " You have many friends around, right"? But the kuya also insisted, "I wanna eat pizza, that's all!

So AJ had nothing to do, anyway. Before the dawn, we went to buy the buy 1 take 1 pizza promo. The kids enjoyed but I ate a little because I was having my diet, huh! But I was still tempted a bit, lol! My sweetie bought a vegetable salad for me, how sweet and I ate with half sliced pizza!

So we had fun eating while watching the movie. It's fun. To all who will be celebrating their birthdays this month, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Filipino Dish

This is the Filipino dish that my family loves. It's very simple and a healthy one. You just need pieces of fish (sliced), sliced tomatoes, medium onion, and any vegetable that is available. I usually put long beans and cabbage. But here, I don't have long beans and cabbage so I put kangkong (morning glory) instead.

Just heat the cooking pan or wok, add water, depending on how many fish you want to cook. Then when it boils, add tomatoes, fish and after a while add the vegetables. Then add salt to taste. And you're done. Be sure to eat it few mainutes after cooking, so you won't miss the flavor and the good taste.

Merry- Go- Round Adventure

My son AJ loves to play anytime, anywhere. We had a chance to ride in a merry-go-round in Suan Siam, Bangkok. He loves to eat so he was eating while riding in a horse. We had lots of fun in the place. This amusement park really gives people a chance to enjoy even just for a while. It's really for children and old people alike. You will love it too!

We came as a group so we enjoyed the promotion at a lower price. A great day for all of us who joined.

Wan Kru

Last February we celebrated and attended "Wan Kru" which is known as "Teacher's Day" in Thailand. All of the private school teachers attended the said activity. Teachers were also given and received different awards. It was a day of celebration, then in the afternoon, teachers played different games like what students do in the schools. It was a lot of fun and fellowship.

My co-teachers

Early this year I met these co-teachers of mine in a known school here in Hatyai. I talk to them for a while then I took a picture while they're relaxing. The person in the middle is an English teacher but speak Thai most of the time while teaching English language. That's the way they teach, so students could hardly speak well. Anyway, they are good and nice people.

Songkran Festival

Songkran is a festival and it's a Thai New Year. Every April 12th-15th Thai people celebrated this festival and most of us enjoyed too.
We were in Bangkok last April during the Songkran Festival and I was able to take a picture of this car. They usually put something white on the cars and and throw cold water and if you are driving a motorcycle, they will put it on your face with an icy water. It's cool! They loved doing it.
